Research interests

I am interested on studying the origin and first radiation of teleosts at the Late Jurassic, especially on their colonization of freshwater environments. My research interests on teleosts, especially on Jurassic and Cretaceous basal teleosts, include studying their anatomy -which I consider extremely important for detecting and discussing the evidence of homology or the lack of it-, as well as their phylogenetic and biogeographic relationships.
